Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
The SOV & CTV Logistics team holds global accountability for the strategic planning, management, and operational support of our vessel fleet across operating sites. The team sits within the wider Operations Portfolio Management department as part of Offshore Operations. We are looking for a Marine Commercial Manager to support our fleet of Service Operation Vessels (SOVs) and Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs). This role is responsible for maximising value across our offshore wind vessel activities, ensuring best-in-class delivery through consistent, data-driven, and strategic commercial management.
About the role:
- Lead logistical cost planning, benchmarking, modelling, forecasting, and act as the main interface to Controlling.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve commercial strategies and principles for the offshore vessel fleet.
- Lead commercial prioritisation of scope in cooperation with key operational stakeholders.
- Manage central budgets, cost centres, approvals, cost collection, reporting, and internal recharging processes in cooperation with Controlling and Accounting.
- Drive commercial contract management and support the establishment and negotiation of central logistical and marine contracts for offshore operations.
- Work closely with Procurement, Tax, Accounting, and other internal stakeholders to ensure commercial alignment and compliance.
- Develop strategic logistical business cases and vessel strategies for assets in operation and development.
- Maintain supplier and vessel performance reporting at supplier, fleet, and portfolio level, including utilisation, progress, and downtime tracking.
- Support Vessel Managers through logistical and commercial data collection, analysis, and insight generation.
- Lead data management, reporting, visualisation, and digitalisation initiatives to optimise marine and logistical operations across the fleet.
Role requirements and experience:
- Degree-qualified, with relevant experience in offshore operations, marine logistics, or a comparable field.
- Demonstrated experience in project, commercial, and contract management.
- Solid understanding of commercial management and logistical concepts.
- Confidence in tracking, managing, and reporting budgets.
- Experience with business management software and SAP.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Structured and analytical approach, with the ability to develop methods and procedures.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and continental Europe.
Advantageous, but not essential:
- Experience with PowerBI.
