- Analyse and clearly explain trading desk strategies, risks, and P&L drivers
- Ensure trading activities remain within agreed limits by monitoring, challenging, and escalating where needed
- Produce clear, insightful reports for the Board and senior Management
- Perform independent valuations and stress-test new products and ideas
- Monitor market developments and communicate key changes to decision-makers
- Contribute to business projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc initiatives
- Continuously develop your skills and bring fresh ideas and best practices to the team
Job requirements and experience:
- A relevant degree (e.g. science, mathematics, engineering, economics) or equivalent industry experience
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform well under tight deadlines
- An independent mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence through clear analysis
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or Tableau, with a willingness to learn more
- Fluency in written and spoken English and experience engaging with stakeholders
Advantageous, but not essential:
- Experience in market risk, particularly in commodities or trading environments
- Knowledge of RWEST products, risk frameworks, and trading operations
- Experience with Endur and/or MicroStrategy
- An understanding of trading desk strategies and products
