RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is looking for a General Asset Manager β North Hoyle to start as soon as possible, full time, permanent. The General Asset Manager will be based at Port of Mostyn and be part of the Offshore Operations UK Region 1 team. The role has full responsibility for the safety, environmental, operational and financial performance of the North Hoyle Wind Farm, ensuring delivery of owner expectations while maximising long-term asset value. You will report to the General Manager β Rhyl Flats and lead a team of three direct reports.
About the role:
- Lead the overall safety, environmental, operational and financial performance of North Hoyle Wind Farm.
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement operational and maintenance strategies that maximise availability, energy yield and long-term asset value.
- Manage the relationship with the asset owner and ensure delivery of all obligations under the Management Services Deed.
- Lead, develop and inspire the site team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- Oversee budget planning, cost optimisation initiatives and the management of operational, financial and commercial risks.
- Manage key interfaces with internal functions, contractors and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, authorities, industry partners and local stakeholders.
Job requirements and experience:
- Degree in engineering, business, renewable energy or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Extensive leadership experience with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy generation assets, including operational performance drivers and asset economics.
- Demonstrated experience in operational and strategic decision-making within asset-intensive industries.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with budget management and value optimisation.
- Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver continuous business improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, including experience engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and a passion for health, safety and environmental excellence.
