About the role

At RWE Supply & Trading, we’re shaping for a cleaner energy future by enabling fast, data‑driven trading decisions. Our Master Data team underpins highly automated trading, risk and back‑office processes. This is where you come in. You will join a close‑knit team across the UK and Germany, build deep expertise and see your work directly enable accurate trading, settlement and reporting across our core systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, high‑quality master data (e.g., counterparties, contracts) across core systems.
  • Ensure data integrity to support automated trading, risk and back‑office processes.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues, identifying root causes and preventing recurrence.
  • Drive process improvements aligned with automation and scalability goals.
  • Maintain clear documentation and robust controls to ensure stable daily operations.

Job requirements and experience

  • Strong attention to detail combined with a structured and analytical approach to identifying and resolving data or process issues.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions, including with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership with a track record of following through and delivering reliable outcomes.
  • Basic understanding of data structures or databases (e.g., SQL, XML) and how data flows across systems.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and actively support colleagues across team boundaries.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements to processes and controls.

Advantageous, but not essential

  • Experience with tools such as Endur, JIRA, Nexus, Power BI, Python, RPA or UiPath.
