At RWE Supply & Trading, we are helping to reshape how energy works and contribute to a carbon-neutral future. You will join our Bespoke UK operations team, responsible for non-standard renewable power and gas contracts, including green certificates and power purchase agreements across the UK and Ireland. In this complex environment, you ensure operational activities are delivered in line with contractual deadlines while maintaining a low risk profile.
Your role covers grid and meter volumetric operations, bespoke settlements, certificate transfers and regulatory reporting across counterparties such as PPAs, grid operators and distribution network operators. Working closely with Trading, Risk and Finance, you will take ownership of data quality, settlements and process improvements, with a strong focus on automation and scalability. As the renewable portfolio continues to expand across solar, storage and offshore, you will be part of a dynamic environment with strong development opportunities.
Responsibilities- Analyse and validate daily trade data to ensure accurate and timely processing across power, gas and green certificates.
- Own the settlement of complex, non-standard contracts, including green certificate transfers and bespoke deal structures across multiple counterparties such as PPAs, grid operators and distribution network operators.
- Manage volumetric and metering processes, ensuring transparency, auditability and data integrity.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement automation or digital solutions to improve scalability and reduce manual effort.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues in close collaboration with Trading, Risk, Finance and external stakeholders.
- Deliver regulatory and ad hoc reporting, generating insights that improve operational performance.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, continuously re-evaluating and adjusting tasks based on operational demands.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with Trading, Operations, Finance and global stakeholders.
- Collaborative approach combined with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Interest in improving processes and driving automation or digital solutions.
- Practical experience using Python, Microsoft Copilot or low-code tools such as Power Automate to analyse data and streamline or automate workflows, as well as solid Microsoft Office skills.
- Exposure to Endur or SAP and understanding of UK power and gas markets.
