This role is temporary on an initial fixed term of 3 months. This may extend further on a 3 monthly basis but there is no guarantee.
ALTERNATING SHIFT - Positions available for the alternating shift where basic hours of work will be from 3:40pm to 11:40pm one week then 7:40am to 3:40pm one week, alternating, Monday to Friday. The pay rate for this position is £13.239 per hour.
Experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mould Shop Operator, you will work as part of the Mould Shop team, supporting the production process and ensuring moulded products are handled, checked and prepared to the required quality standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Removing and handling moulded products safely and efficiently as they are produced.
- Inspecting products for quality, identifying defects or anything that does not meet the required standard and reporting concerns promptly.
- Trimming, finishing and preparing products as required, following the correct work instructions and quality standards.
- Packing and labelling finished products correctly and preparing them for the next stage of the process.
- Monitoring the production process and promptly reporting machine, product or quality issues to the Setter or Shift Leader.
- Keeping scrap and waste to a minimum by handling products and materials carefully and reporting recurring issues.
- Completing relevant production and quality checks/records accurately and on time.
- Keeping the machine area and surrounding workspace clean and organised throughout the shift.
- Cleaning equipment and work areas as required, ensuring they are left clean and fit for the next shift.
- Following all relevant procedures, work instructions and health and safety requirements at all times.
- Reporting unsafe conditions or working practices promptly to the Shift Leader.
- Working collaboratively with Setters, Shift Leaders and other Operators to help the Mould Shop meet its production and quality targets. xiskglj
