We believe our people are our greatest asset, as it's their dedication to excellence that has been the foundation for our outstanding reputation.

As a Cabinet Maker, you’ll play an integral role in delivering projects from concept through to completion, bringing a meticulous approach to both craftsmanship and execution. Drawing on your expertise in cabinet making techniques, materials, and finishes, you’ll produce bespoke furniture and fitted interiors of the highest quality.

Just some of the responsibilities we’ll trust you with:

  • You’ll craft exceptional bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and interior joinery, consistently delivering work of the very highest quality and finish.
  • You’ll bring both freestanding pieces and large scale fitted projects, such as kitchens and dressing rooms, to life, maintaining precision, care, and consistency at every stage.
  • You’ll confidently interpret detailed working drawings, translating design concepts into beautifully realised, tangible pieces with accuracy and flair.
  • You’ll apply advanced cabinet making techniques, combining deep materials knowledge and refined finishing skills to execute complex, high-end projects to an outstanding standard.
  • You’ll work hands on alongside a talented team of cabinet makers, supporting and collaborating with junior colleagues while upholding exceptional levels of craftsmanship throughout every build.

Where you'll be based: You’ll join Saint John Architectural Interiors, a team that specialises in collaborating with architects, interior designers, and private clients to design, create, and install bespoke, high quality interiors. To fulfil this role, we seek the highest skilled makers to work with a diverse range of materials, including metalwork, leather, fabric, upholstery, and glass, always ensuring the most luxurious finish. You’ll be based at our state‑of‑the‑art Joinery workshop in Basingstoke, just a 5 minute drive from the local retail park. Benefit from a well equipped canteen and games room to relax on your breaks and be part of a culture that encourages a sense of belonging.

Some of the rewards of working with us:

  • Grow your skills and your career with access to full training and development programmes designed to help you reach your full potential.

  • Enjoy a comprehensive rewards package including a competitive salary, company pension, sick pay, life cover, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, and long service recognition.
  • Earn more time off with a holiday allowance that increases with your length of service – plus all bank holidays.
  • Save on everyday essentials with exclusive discounts at leading retailers and supermarkets.
  • Get 24/7 support through our Employee Assistance Programme, offering expert advice, counselling, and practical help whenever you need it.
  • Enjoy a restful holiday break-we close during the Christmas period, giving you the chance to relax over the festive season.
  • We prioritise your wellbeing with our healthcare programmes, annual flu vaccines, and for those who will benefit, a personalised menopause plan.

The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • You’ll bring a deep understanding of cabinet and furniture making techniques, with a strong appreciation for materials, construction methods, and refined finishing.
  • You’ll have extensive hands‑on experience working with both solid timber and veneers, with a clear understanding of how to get the very best from each.
  • You’ll be confident in identifying and resolving technical challenges, using your skill, judgement, and creativity to find practical, high-quality solutions.
