RVW Pugh is a well-established agricultural dealer with over 40 years of experience. We supply an extensive range of Agricultural and Machinery across Shropshire, Cheshire, and Mid Wales. Our leading franchises are Massey Ferguson, FENDT, Merlo, Teagle, plus many other leading brands. With RVW Pugh's continuing growth, we are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager.

Reports to: Sales Director

Job Description: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in your territory. Handle all incoming new and used enquiries, sell the full range of products available, liaising with all depots and service departments. A passion for agricultural machinery and the industry is essential!

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identification and regular contact of customers and prospects
  • Dealing with incoming sales enquiries
  • Preparation of quotes and customer follow up
  • Cultivating and nurturing export and trade contacts
  • Arranging demonstrations with the Sales Support Specialists as required
  • Preparation of trade in appraisals and estimated PDI budgets
  • Ensuring efficient, correct and timely completion of paperwork and online systems
  • To represent the company at shows and open events
  • To liaise with finance house representatives, where necessary, to provide the customer with a finance quote to suit their requirements

  • Turnover
  • Gross and net profit margins
  • Stock turn

Supervision: Supervised by Sales Director

Contacts: Existing and prospective customers, dealership management & staff, supplier representatives

Conditions: Based at our Churchstoke or Holmes Chapel depot, with daily customer visits. Saturday morning cover on a rota basis. At times may be required to perform duties outside of this job description in order to ensure the maintenance of a high level of service to our customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday with Saturday morning cover on a rota basis.

Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
