Gen2 was established in 2000 and specialises in the Engineering, Nuclear, and Manufacturing sectors. In May 2017, Gen2 joined City & Guilds and became a City & Guilds accredited provider. Gen2 operates from several training centres across Cumbria, focusing on developing commercial training to expand its geographic and product offerings. About The Role The Business Support Trainer/Assessor will deliver training and assessments for Business Support Services, including Business Administration and Customer Service, as well as related apprenticeship programs and short courses. Key Responsibilities Deliver support sessions and assess learners\’ work. Previous teaching experience is not essential as training will be provided; candidates must be willing to attain a teaching qualification. Provide functional skills support and feedback, requiring at least Level 2 numeracy and literacy skills and competent IT skills. Deliver training, conduct assessments, and evaluate portfolio work up to Level 3. Research and develop new qualifications aligned with customer demand and continuous improvement, including creating material for virtual learning environments and online delivery. Offer high-quality academic guidance and advice to ensure an effective learning experience. Demonstrate best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment according to Gen2\’s principles and strategy. Contribute to curriculum development, planning, and implementation. Assist in developing learning materials, schemes of learning, and maintaining records to monitor learner progress, achievement, and attendance. Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, and other relevant regulations. Provide pastoral care and support to learners. Participate actively in team meetings and standardisation processes. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Contribute to departmental working groups or committees as required. Maintain ongoing professional development. Promote and adhere to Gen2 policies, including Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, and Equality and Diversity. About You This role suits a good communicator with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or a relevant qualification, along with a minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English. Strong planning and organisational skills are essential. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are also important. The successful candidate will need to undergo checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure, and provide proof of right to work in the UK.
