As an Electrotechnical Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our workshop operates smoothly and efficiently. You’ll carry out inspections, testing and repairs on a wide range of electrical hire equipment, making sure it meets our visual, functional and legislative standards before being sent out to customers. Training on our full equipment range will be provided.
You’ll collaborate closely with other electricians and internal teams, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant and ready for hire.
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Inspect, service, test and repair electrical hire equipment to company and regulatory standards
- Complete all maintenance and repair documentation accurately and promptly
- Workshop Operations
- Support day‑to‑day workshop activities to achieve operational targets
- Uphold health and safety standards and ensure legal compliance
- Monitor stock levels and ensure the right parts and tools are available
- Assist with onboarding new products into the fleet
- Quality & Compliance
- Maintain high standards through audits, checks and compliance with ISO, PAT and certification requirements
- Ensure equipment is safe, compliant and ready for release
- Reporting & Communication
- Work collaboratively with Hire Desk, Logistics and Sales to keep operations running efficiently
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (2357/2356)
- PAT 2377 certification
- COMPEX EX 01–04
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 3 inspection and testing (2391‑52 or 2391/92)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnosis skills
- Good understanding of relevant electrical regulations
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet targets
- Team‑focused, supportive and adaptable
- Experience with motors or PLCs is desirable (training provided)
