R&V is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing trunking assignments across multiple depots. We value our people and offer a friendly working environment, a focus on developing your skills, and competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Trunking work.
- Deliver goods to specified locations in line with the delivery schedule.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
- Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of transport operations.
- Effectively manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Working Time Regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedures.
- Ensure proofs of delivery (PODs) are signed and returned to Transport after delivery.
- Meet fuel-efficiency targets set by the business.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Essential Requirements for HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Minimum of 2 years Class 1 driving experience.
- Full UK C+E (Class 1) licence, valid CPC and Digi/Tachograph card.
- National Insurance number.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Good level of English.
- Flexibility with start times.
