We are recruiting for a School Menu Development Chef to support Nottingham City's school catering operations. This is not a standard development chef role; it offers the opportunity to shape the menus and food experiences across 52 schools, serving more than 2 million meals per year.
About the Role
- Inspire and support school catering teams to deliver exceptional food and service.
- Work closely with management to ensure kitchens operate to a high standard, carrying out audits and recommending improvements.
- Design and implement fresh, seasonal menus in line with School Food Standards and Food for Life criteria (menus change twice per year).
- Promote school meal offerings by attending school events, running taster sessions, and delivering demonstrations.
