As a driver mate you will be working as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
Core Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Safely lift and carry items (e.g., furniture, appliances, wholesale goods), ensuring the vehicle is packed logically for multi-drop routes.
- Navigation and Routing: Assist the driver with directions, monitor traffic, and help navigate into tight parking spaces or difficult delivery zones.
- Customer Service: Call customers to confirm arrival times, obtain delivery signatures, process payments, and occasionally unpack or assemble items.
- Paperwork and Compliance: Verify delivered goods against manifests, report any damaged items or customer issues, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Help the driver perform daily vehicle walkaround checks (lights, tires, fluid levels) and keep the cabin and load area clean and organised.
Shifts: 16:00 - 03:00 Working in a team 24/7 support
