As we grow, we’re looking for a Data & Finance Analyst to join our team and help drive key business initiatives through strategic planning, data insights, and cross-functional project management.
Role Overview: We’re looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented analyst to play a critical role in shaping our analytics, dashboarding and financial insights. In this position, you will both be responsible for helping to build and manage core dashboards, but also leverage data analysis and business insights to support decision-making. You will work closely with various teams, including finance, recruitment and community management, as well as marketing to ensure we hit our financial targets and exciting growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Metric Planning & Goal Setting: Assist in the development and execution of KPIs and key success metrics. Provide actionable insights from data analysis to support operational and financial decisions. Prepare and analyse performance reports, identify trends, and recommend improvements for efficiency or growth. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes with comprehensive financial models and scenario analysis.
- Data Analysis & Report Building: Create dashboards (in Metabase and Google Sheets) and analyse data from various internal and external sources to drive data-informed decision-making and monitor performance to key business health metrics. Leverage Metabase’s tooling to facilitate writing reports and interactive dashboards (both adhoc and ongoing). Provide insights on customer behaviour and market trends to inform strategic planning.
- Competitor Analysis & Market Research: Conduct competitive benchmarking and analysis of market trends to identify opportunities and threats to the business. Support the development of go-to-market strategies by analysing competitor offerings, pricing models, and customer feedback. Stay updated on industry changes, emerging technologies, and new business models that could impact Ruuby’s market positioning.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have experience in Metabase and strong SQL skills.
- An understanding or familiarity with AWS Redshift is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, operations, or project management, preferably in the tech, e-commerce, or beauty/wellness industries.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, etc.).
- Solid understanding of financial modeling and business forecasting techniques.
