ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Social Care Tutor Assessor to join our team in Carrick. As a Health & Social Care Tutor you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will encompass inspiring and mentoring students in the fundamental principles and practices of health and social care. From developing comprehensive lesson plans covering crucial areas such as patient care, ethical considerations, and community engagement to facilitating hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for the challenges of the healthcare field, you will contribute to the holistic development of individuals entering this vital profession.
Fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment, your role extends beyond imparting knowledge, encouraging critical thinking and empathy essential for delivering compassionate healthcare.
The successful candidate will deliver up to Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care. The qualification has been designed to allow learners to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to work effectively and flexibly within the Adult Care sector at level 3 in Northern Ireland. You will be delivering to students studying on government-funded training programmes Skills for Life and Work (School Leavers) and ApprenticeshipsNI; as well as private students. It is advantageous if candidates can deliver up to Level 5. In this case you must hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification and a minimum 12 months experience in a management position.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the Health & Social Care Industry; and possess the motivation and commitment to see our students succeed on their programme of study. Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering qualifications.

Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care discipline
- 2+ years' experience working in the Health & Social Care Industry
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport
- Achievement of A1 Assessors Award (Desirable)
- Teaching Qualification - Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Teaching (Desirable)
