We are seeking a driven and dynamic Healthcare Consultant to join our nursing recruitment agency based in Northern Ireland. The role will primarily focus on business development, building relationships with new clients across the healthcare sector, including care homes, private hospitals, and public sector health providers. You will also support the recruitment function by interviewing and onboarding new healthcare workers (e.g., nurses, HCAs) joining the agency.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in healthcare recruitment, healthcare sales, or client relationship management who is passionate about improving care staffing standards and growing business within the health and social care sector.
Your responsibilities encompass the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to building and nurturing relationships with healthcare facilities. You specialise in understanding the unique requirements of various healthcare roles, ensuring regulatory compliance, and staying abreast of industry trends to provide strategic staffing solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Business Development
- Identify and target potential healthcare clients across Northern Ireland, including care homes, supported living facilities, private clinics, and NHS Trusts.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the agency’s client base.
- Conduct outbound sales activity (calls, emails, visits) to promote the agency’s services.
- Attend client meetings to understand staffing requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of market trends and competitor activity.
- Candidate Recruitment & Interviews
- Interview and screen healthcare professionals, including healthcare assistants and support staff.
- Assess candidate suitability, verify compliance documents, and ensure adherence to NMC, RQIA, and agency standards.
- Work closely with compliance and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
- Represent the agency at job fairs, open days, and healthcare recruitment events.
- General Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the recruitment CRM system.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to meet placement and financial targets.
- Uphold the agency’s values and quality standards in all interactions.
- Travel across Northern Ireland as required to meet clients and candidates.
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- Proven experience in a healthcare recruitment, sales, or business development role
- Strong understanding of the Northern Ireland healthcare landscape
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, self-starter attitude
- Ability to meet targets and manage a varied workload with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving license and access to a car
- Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland as business needs require
