ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Tutor Assessor to join our team in Derry/L’Derry. As an IT Tutor you will play a central role in shaping the future of IT professionals, guiding students through the diverse realms of information technology. Your responsibilities include inspiring and instructing students in various IT domains, such as programming, networking, and cybersecurity.
Crafting comprehensive lesson plans that seamlessly integrate the latest industry trends, tools, and programming languages, you will equip students with the knowledge and skills essential for success in the ever-evolving IT landscape. Sharing practical insights and hands-on experiences, your goal is to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in their IT careers. Fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment, your duties extend beyond traditional teaching to encourage innovation and excellence in IT, instilling in students the passion and expertise needed to become future leaders in the technology field.
The successful candidate will deliver up to Level 3 Diploma in IT Users Skills; delivering to students studying on government-funded training programmes Skills for Life and Work (School Leavers) and ApprenticeshipsNI; as well as private students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the IT Industry; and possess the motivation and commitment to see our students succeed on their programme of study. Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering qualifications.

Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in an IT discipline
- 2+ years' experience working in an IT role
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport
- Achievement of A1 Assessors Award (Desirable)
- Teaching Qualification - Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Teaching (Desirable)
