We are recruiting for an experienced Hairdressing Tutor Assessor to join our team in our Derry/L'Derry branch. As a Hairdressing Tutor, you will be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of hairstyling professionals, guiding students through the art and science of hairdressing. Your role involves inspiring and instructing students in various techniques such as cutting, styling, and colour application, developing comprehensive lesson plans that seamlessly blend the latest trends, tools, and industry standards in hairdressing.
You will equip students with the skills necessary for success in the dynamic beauty and wellness industry. Sharing practical insights and facilitating hands-on experiences, your goal is to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities that await them in the ever-evolving world of beauty. Fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment, your duties extend beyond traditional teaching to encourage creativity and excellence in hairdressing, instilling in students the passion and expertise needed to become future leaders in the hairstyling profession.
The successful candidate will deliver up to Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Hairdressing and Barbering to students studying on the ApprenticeshipsNI and Skills for Life & Work (School Leavers) training programmes. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the Hospitality Industry and possess the motivation and commitment to see our students succeed on their programme of study. Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering qualifications.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing/Barbering
- 2+ years' experience working in the Hairdressing/Barbering Industry
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport
- Achievement of A1 Assessors Award (Desirable)
- Teaching Qualification - Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Teaching (Desirable)
