Unit LNA – Medical Unit
Rutland Regional Medical Center
Unit LNA provides supportive bedside nursing care to patients and related non-professional services under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The Unit LNA also performs basic administrative and clerical activities to support operations and general workflow of the unit(s) assigned.
Minimum Education
- High School Graduate or Equivalent, or evidence of graduation within one year, required.
Minimum Work Experience
- Previous hospital or nursing home LNA experience, preferred.
- Previous secretarial or administrative experience preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current Vermont State License.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Unit-specific certifications as required (e.g., CRAT) per specific department operational framework.* Within 12 months of hire.
Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
- Ability to report patient care observations, deviations from patient’s plan of care and other pertinent information under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Ability to assist with moving or lifting patients and equipment.
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
