The Safety Officer at West Ridge Center is an integral part of providing a safe and secure environment to patients and visitors who access clinical services and the staff who provide care at this location. This position will follow and enforce current policies, procedures, and regulations in assuring appropriate access to the facility. The Safety Officer will also perform a variety of safety and security checks within and surrounding the facility and act accordingly in response to any issues that may arise.
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience: Previous experience in a security or door screener role is helpful. Previous experience in customer service or public-facing role preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification (required within 3 months of hire)
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association (required within 6 months of hire)

- Requires knowledge to comply with federal, state, and local statutes and regulations.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Interpersonal skills required to interact with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
