Assumes a variety of clinical and distributive functions. The pharmacist will be responsible as a proactive health care team member, striving to identify, resolve and/or prevent potential and/or actual drug related problems.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

Minimum Work Experience: Previous experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital preferred. Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy residency preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Vermont pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Excel in Microsoft office suites such as Word and Excel.
  • Recognises and reports practice deviations to improve the medication system.
  • Communication with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff and other health professionals (within the hospital and community) will be significant.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.

Pay Range: $56.96 - $82.98
