The BHC Social Worker is responsible for providing outpatient clinical and social work services. These services include psychosocial assessments; individual psychological assessments; individual, group and family therapy; participation on interdisciplinary treatment teams. Understands relevant community resources, insurance, regulatory, and legal system issues relevant to the care of patients in an inpatient setting.
Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW).
Minimum Work Experience: Three to five years of LICSW social work in psychotherapy, medical crisis intervention, and solution-focused therapy. Experience working with adults with acute mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Managed-care experience a plus.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Licensed by the State of Vermont as a Clinical Social Worker.
