Summary
Under the supervision of an Orthopaedic provider and guided by hospital administrators, the Radiology Technician competently performs imaging on general radiographic equipment. The role involves following radiographic and imaging protocols, recognizing general radiography anatomy, and providing service excellence while complying with all hospital policies and procedures. The technician uses RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of results.
Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completed an approved, accredited Radiology Technology program
- Digital imaging and post‑processing PACS experience
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Current state RT license
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Must obtain 24 ECE credits in a two‑year period for re‑certification and licensure
- ARRT Certified
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups (infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric)
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
Pay Range
$27.31 - $40.38 per hour
