The Pre-Access Representative is responsible for supporting one or more traditional Pre-Access functions in accordance with RRHS policies and procedures. Functional areas include: the referral/prior authorization process, scheduling patients for elective and urgent appointments and pre-registering patients by collecting patient demographic and insurance information for both outpatient and inpatient services. The Pre-Access Representative will notify patients of pertinent visit information such as patient preps, check-in times, etc. Focus will be on patient needs, efficient use of hospital resources, and the optimization of insurance benefits for the patient and the organization.

Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Work Experience
1 year prior registration/scheduling/prior authorization experience.
