- Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience
- Experience with portable and in-department fluoroscopy procedures
- Operating Room procedures
- Experience in Special Procedures preferred
Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of the administrator, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment. Responsible for adhering to radiographic and imaging protocols. Must have the ability to recognize general radiographic anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results. Follows standards of safe radiation and sterile procedure practices. Assists with scheduling interventional exams, maintaining inventory of supplies, and communicating with all necessary personnel. As assigned by management, performs technologist duties of other registered modalities.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Current state R.T. license
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening)
- Willingness and ability to identify and take action toward meeting own learning needs
- Advanced knowledge of Angio/Cath room functions
- Ability to plan and perform diversified duties requiring knowledge of a wide range of procedures
- Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology
- Ability to demonstrate courtesy, compassion and respect in relating to patients, families, visitors, physicians and coworkers
Pay Range: $35.37 - $51.53
