Performs tasks as a member of a healthcare team while independently providing the highest standards of quality in cleaning and maintaining various types of floor surfaces. The Floor Care Technician performs assigned floor care functions based on hospital standards and procedures; performs environmental services duties as needed; performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires the ability to read and follow instructions.
Minimum Work Experience
- Prior work experience in the environmental services field preferred.
- Prior experience with floor care, finishing and cleaning including the use and maintenance of floor maintenance equipment and proper use of cleaning & finishing agents.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- D.O.T. hazardous material certification or ability to obtain.

- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations without evidence to patients and visitors.
