Rutland Plastics are looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

The role involves maintaining the production machinery, carrying out general maintenance and repair throughout the factory and working as part of a flexible, service‑focused support team to the business.

Qualifications

Applicants must have electrical bias and possess a knowledge of PLC’s, hydraulics and pneumatics. While the experience of hydraulic plastic injection moulding machines would be an advantage it is not essential, as we favour positive work ethics and shared company values over experience.

Working Hours

Working hours: 38.5 hours per week, early shift 5.48am – 2:00pm / afternoon shift 1.48pm – 10:00pm, alternating weekly.

Candidate Profile

Our ideal candidate will be reliable, enjoy troubleshooting and have a genuine can‑do attitude. They should be able to prioritise work so that repairs are resolved quickly with minimal downtime.
