Rutland Children’s Social Care is seeking a Social Worker‑Families First to support families across Rutland. This role places social work at the centre of our mission to keep children, young people and families safe, supported and empowered.
About you
- A qualified Social Worker at level 2 or higher
- Registered with Social Work England
- Evidence of practical application of social work skills in family support
- Knowledge of the issues affecting parenting capacity and the impact of deprivation on child development
- Experience with court work, child‑protection work and the provision of complex care plans
Key responsibilities
- Work independently within small, supportive teams to assess and manage safeguarding concerns and placement decisions across the county.
