We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Customer Service Advisors to join our fantastic Customer Services Team at Rutland County Council. This is a chance to make a positive difference to how we deliver effective customer services to our Rutland community. As a unitary council, we deliver diverse services and are looking for individuals to join us in delivering a service that continuously improves our customer’s experience.

About you…

  • Experience in a similar Customer Service Advisor role delivering a “one-stop” service
  • Confident, and adaptable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to act with diplomacy and tact at all levels and be discreet with confidential information
  • Able to deal with challenging situations whilst remaining calm and professional
  • Solution focused, able to resolve queries and deliver positive outcomes for customers

About the role…

  • To act as the first point of contact for customers via phone, online and face to face interactions
  • To take responsibility for resolving customer enquiries in a professional, efficient and sensitive manner
  • To record and maintain customer contact information accurately and in line with the available technology and processes
  • To access and retrieve information from Council databases, back-end systems and the internet as appropriate, in order to resolve customer enquiries
