We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Secretary to join our busy and friendly Wills & Probate Department on a part-time basis to provide support to a partner dealing with estates, trusts and Court of Protection applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-organised individual with strong administrative and client care skills to become an integral part of our team delivering a high-quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to a partner and other solicitors and fee earners
  • Audio and copy typing of correspondence, wills, and legal documents
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings
  • Handling client enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Opening and closing client files
  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence
  • Assisting with probate applications and estate administration matters

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Wills & Probate department
  • Excellent typing and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A professional and friendly manner with clients and colleagues
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using case management systems would be advantageous
