This highly technical team operates at the intersection of financial markets, regulation, and complex risk-transfer products, advising major global financial institutions, trading desks, and structured finance platforms on sophisticated cross-border transactions.
The role is heavily documentation and transaction-focused, with exposure to a broad range of derivatives and structured products work. Key areas of work include:
- OTC derivatives transactions
- Collateral and margin arrangements
- Close-out netting enforceability
- Regulatory capital treatment and cross-border derivatives regulation
- Interest rate swaps, FX derivatives, commodity hedging, total return swaps, and credit derivatives
- Structured notes and Shari’a-compliant hedging structures
- Embedding derivatives into structured note programmes
- Hedging arrangements linked to SPVs and issuances
- Coordination with trustees, arrangers, and listing agents
