An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join a market-leading Energy & Infrastructure practice in London. This highly regarded team sits at the forefront of the UK's energy transition, advising on some of the country's most significant energy, renewables and infrastructure projects. The practice is recognised for its expertise in the real estate aspects of complex developments and works with developers, utilities, investors, funders, public bodies and landowners on strategically important projects nationwide.

The successful candidate will advise on the real estate and land elements of a broad range of energy and infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating options, leases, easements and development agreements
  • Leading title investigations, site assembly and land due diligence exercises
  • Advising on land strategy and identifying solutions to complex land constraints
  • Supporting Development Consent Order (DCO) and Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) schemes
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across planning, construction, corporate, finance and regulatory matters

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ PQE gained within a leading real estate, energy or infrastructure practice
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex real estate documentation
  • Exposure to energy, renewables, utilities or infrastructure projects would be highly desirable
  • Excellent technical, drafting and commercial skills
  • Ability to manage sophisticated transactions and develop strong client relationships
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative and commercially minded approach
