Role & Responsibilities
- Supporting on early-stage disputes, including urgent applications and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation
- Drafting key legal documents, including statements of case and court applications, and assisting with hearings
- Managing correspondence with clients, counsel, and other parties
- Overseeing and contributing to document review and disclosure exercises
- Undertaking detailed legal research and analysis across a range of issues
- Assisting in the preparation of witness and expert evidence
- Contributing to trial preparation and broader case strategy
- Working on arbitration proceedings alongside court-based litigation
The work may also involve disputes touching on areas such as intellectual property rights, data-related issues, reputational matters, and confidentiality breaches.
Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified solicitor
- 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial disputes
- Background handling complex litigation and/or arbitration matters
- Familiarity with interlocutory applications, ADR processes, and trial preparation
- Experience acting for a mix of claimants and defendants
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
- Previous experience gained within a comparable law firm environment
