Rutherford has been exclusively mandated by a leading Hedge Fund in search of a Paralegal to join their legal team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team in a fast-paced hedge fund environment. The ideal candidate will support a range of legal and regulatory functions, with a particular focus on fund formation, regulatory and general corporate legal work. Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the firm's legal documents while overseeing the document management system.
- Handle various corporate administrative tasks for legal entities across different jurisdictions.
- Review and provide summaries of key contractual agreements, such as NDAs, confidentiality agreements, side letters and terms of business.
- Assess and summarise documentation related to investment transactions.
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of materials for quarterly board and committee meetings, including drafting meeting minutes.
- Take ownership of customer due diligence processes and manage the onboarding of new clients.
- Ensure the timely preparation and filing of regulatory documents with agencies like the FCA, SEC and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Background:
- At least 1 year of experience as a paralegal in a leading UK or US law firm, or within an in-house legal team in an investment management firm. A background in investment funds will be preferred.
- Strong academic credentials from a well-regarded university.
