The role is embedded within the EMEA Compliance team, acting as a key advisor to distribution and investor relations professionals who market investment offerings to institutional and private clients. This includes working across multiple asset classes and geographies to provide strategic guidance on regulatory matters, investor communications, and fund distribution frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Advisory: Offer practical legal/compliance guidance regarding fund distribution, investor classification, and regional registration regimes, particularly within Europe.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the enhancement and upkeep of internal policies and procedures concerning marketing and fundraising activities.
  • Training & Education: Design and deliver internal training programs for client-facing professionals to reinforce compliance with European distribution regulations.
  • Global Collaboration: Liaise with compliance counterparts in other regions (US, APAC) to align on regulatory expectations and ensure consistent global practices.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of relevant EU frameworks (AIFMD, MiFID II, CBDF, SFDR, etc.) and assist in interpreting their implications for the business.
  • Project Support: Provide compliance support for broader team initiatives and cross-functional projects, as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 4–5 years of experience in a legal or compliance role at a law firm, investment manager, or financial services firm.
  • Deep understanding of marketing/distribution regulations within Europe; direct experience with AIFMD/MiFID is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with private markets or alternative investment structures preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and organised.
