My client is an instantly recognisable 'elite' US law firm. Its client roster is impressive and diverse, spanning lenders and borrowers including major banks, hedge counterparties, arrangers, asset managers, credit funds and traditional PE sponsors.
The London Tax team advises on a breadth of tax matters and works closely with colleagues across its international offices and across the restructuring, corporate and litigation teams. It is a 'band one' legal 500 ranked practice with genuine progression prospects. The tax practice is solution orientated, technically excellent and offers a collaborative environment in which individuals can progress on merit and are integrated across the firm in both London and globally.
This particular opportunity will most likely suit an individual who has come from another elite US, Magic or Silver Circle law firm or a similarly 'ranked' practice or international equivalent. You will be qualified or due to qualify in September 2026, in England and Wales or another Commonwealth jurisdiction. You will be rewarded with top of the market work, an environment which prizes and will support and invest in, excellent technical work. Commitment levels are high and ambition and drive to progress, take on responsibility and interface with clients necessary.
It is noteworthy that in addition to this role Rutherford is instructed by a wide variety of clients spanning US, UK and international firms, with current opportunities for Tax lawyers. Each offering a slightly different slant to the work, distinct progression and work life balance options.
