A US law firm with an established Banking & Finance practice in London is looking to hire an Infrastructure Finance Associate at the 2–8 PQE level. The role sits within a cross-practice finance team that advises on infrastructure, leveraged finance and private capital transactions, with particular focus on M&A-driven and cross-border infrastructure work. Associates work directly with partners who are active across infrastructure, leveraged finance, private credit and high yield, rather than in siloed product teams.
The associate will work on financing, refinancing and acquisition financing of core and core-plus infrastructure assets, including:
- Digital infrastructure
- Energy transition assets
- Transport and logistics
- Essential services platforms
Transactions include senior debt, acquisition facilities, portfolio-level financings, holdco structures and hybrid infrastructure-private capital solutions. The practice regularly advises on both brownfield and greenfield assets, often in time-sensitive M&A contexts. The team acts for sponsors, infrastructure funds, banks and institutional lenders, with frequent exposure to cross-border deals and multi-jurisdictional structures.
Candidate profile
- 2–8 years’ PQE in infrastructure finance, leveraged finance or private capital
- Experience advising lenders, sponsors or funds on acquisition and/or refinancing transactions
- Comfortable working on cross-border matters and complex financing structures
- UK-qualified or common law qualified lawyers with relevant experience will be considered
This role may suit associates looking to move away from pure project finance or highly siloed teams, and towards infrastructure work that sits closer to sponsor finance and private capital execution.
