Our Client, a global alternatives investment manager headquartered in London, is looking for a solicitor to join the team and take on a key trading documents and derivatives counsel role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong private practice background and, at a minumum, a good in-house secondment. There is a preference for an in-house counsel, in a multi-strategy investment manager, who is looking for their second in-house role.

Role:

  • Lead on negotation and drafting of a range of derivatives related trading and commercial contracts
  • Be the in-house subject matter expert for ISDA Master Agreements, LFCs, EFET, GMRAs and GMSLAs
  • Provide ad-hoc support to senior counsel on regulatory matters in the UK and, when required, broader EMEA and APAC jurisdictions
  • Support stakeholders across the broader business in Sales, Finance and Compliance

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background – minimum 2:i (Hons) and LLm
  • England & Wales qualified solicitor with 3-7 years' PQE
  • Must have a strong private practice background
  • In-house secondment or in-house counsel experience
  • Deep subject matter expertise across Derivatives, Structured Products and Trading Documentation – transactional and regulatory
