Our Client, a global, technology driven HFT, is looking for an experienced corporate counsel to run a business critical EMEA and APAC team. The role will be based in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal support and advice to local senior management and Group General Counsel on relevant legal issues for EU and APAC jurisdictions.
  • Assisting and dealing with trading matters e.g. reviewing trading agreements and liaising with relevant counterparties when appropriate.
  • Negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements such as data agreements, service agreements and terms of business.
  • Interpretation and advise on new regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with new projects - in particular DORA and the EU AI Act.
  • Broader commercial and employment matters as required.

Requirements:

  • 6-12 Years PQE.
  • In-house track record in a technology driven financial services or legal services firm.
  • SME across a broad corporate mandate - including data protection, DORA and the latest EU AI rulings.
  • Available to start at short notice.
  • Candidates must speak fluent English.
  • Must be qualified in the UK (England & Wales/Scotland) or European Union.
