We are partnering with a global systematic hedge fund that is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel for its Global Head of Employment Legal position. This will be a critical legal hire at the firm, working closely with the senior leadership team as they look to build strength and depth across the business. The role will provide specialised legal counsel to the investment teams and senior management. This is a critical mandate as it will own responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions at a key time in the firm's growth.

A demonstrable track record in a ranked Practice and in-house at a Tier 1 Technology or Financial Services organisation is required - good secondments will be considered in lieu of a permanent in-house role.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Contract negotiations
  • IP, Data, Privacy
  • Employment negotiations for Partners and PMs
  • Drafting bespoke payout arrangements, profit share and spinout agreements
  • Drafting of employment agreements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Settlement agreements
  • Employee related litigation
  • Advise the firm on additional general corporate matters
  • Provide regulatory advice across a range of matters
Requirements:
  • Minimum 9+ PQE in England & Wales and in good standing with the SRA
  • Trained and qualified in a ranked Legal Practice - Employment team mandatory
  • Secondment in a Tier 1 Financial Services, FinTech or Hi-Technology firm highly desirable
  • Strong academic track record
  • Excellent negotiation skills
