The group advises some of the world’s most prominent private equity sponsors and asset managers on the structuring, formation, and operation of their investment platforms. This is an opportunity to work closely with market-leading partners and associates on high-profile fund launches and complex secondary transactions, with exposure to cross-border mandates across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The team has been expanding steadily in line with growing client demand and continues to develop its European offering to complement the firm’s leading US platform.

Work Highlights

  • The practice represents an impressive roster of private equity sponsors, growth and infrastructure managers, and alternative asset funds.
  • Recent clients include leading global players in the buyout, credit, and secondaries markets, as well as sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and other institutional investors.
  • Lawyers in the group advise across the full spectrum of private funds work, including:
  • Structuring and forming private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real asset funds.
  • Advising on secondaries, continuation vehicles, stapled transactions, and liquidity solutions.
  • Fundraising and investor negotiations, including side letters, LPAs, and co-investments.
  • Regulatory and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions (FCA, AIFMD, SEC, ERISA, and ESG regimes).
  • Acting for institutional investors on commitments, governance, and fund portfolio sales.

  • Trainee Solicitor at a leading City or international firm, qualifying in September 2026 with Funds seat experience.
