A leading international law firm is seeking an ambitious Energy Transition M&A Associate to join their dynamic team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented lawyer with 2-4 years' PQE to take their career to the next level by working on complex, high-value transactions in the rapidly evolving energy sector.
Position Overview
As an Energy Transition M&A Associate, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on a wide range of energy and resources matters, including M&A transactions, financing deals, and legislative issues. You will work closely with partners and senior associates to deliver exceptional legal services to clients across the globe, contributing to the firm's reputation as a go-to advisor in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on complex M&A transactions in the energy and resources sector
- Assist in the financing of high-profile energy projects
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements related to mining, pipelines, and joint ventures
- Research and analyse legislative and policy issues affecting the energy industry
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm's global network to deliver seamless client service
- Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 2-4 years' PQE
- Strong experience in Energy Transition matters and Corporate M&A gained at a well-regarded firm
- Renewables and Oil & Gas experience is desirable
- Excellent academic background
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive working relationships
