About the job
Rutherford is partnered with a leading global law firm with a highly regarded Life Sciences practice. The firm is seeking a Corporate Life Sciences Lawyer (2–6 PQE) to join its London team, advising on complex corporate transactions for growth-stage biotech, pharmaceutical, and medtech companies, as well as private equity and venture capital investors.
You’ll work with a collaborative, experienced team on cross-border deals throughout Europe, covering a broad range of transactions, including buyouts, carve-outs, add-ons, public-to-privates, joint ventures, minority stakes, structured and growth equity arrangements, and special situations.
The team also provides advice on senior executive matters, management incentive plans, and corporate governance.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on and manage complex corporate transactions for life sciences clients, including private equity and venture-backed companies.
- Structure, negotiate, and execute a broad range of deals across the technology, healthcare, and life sciences sectors.
- Support cross-border transactions and collaborate with teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide guidance on management incentive plans, governance matters, and strategic investments.
- Build trusted relationships with clients by delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
- Work closely with partners to support growth initiatives and complex deal execution.
