Rutherford has been mandated to recruit a talented Mid-level Associate to join the Commercial Practice Group of a leading international law firm in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with some of the most recognisable retail & consumer brands operating across the hotels, hospitality and leisure sectors, advising on a wide range of strategic and commercial matters.
The Role
The team advises on a diverse portfolio of business-critical commercial agreements, with a strong focus on hospitality-related transactions. Work includes:
- Franchising arrangements
- Hotel management agreements
- Food & beverage outsourcing and licensing
- Financing and supply chain frameworks supporting hospitality businesses
- Broader commercial agreements including novations, amendments, licence and service contracts
- Opportunities to work with brands in adjacent sectors such as luxury retail, wellness, and food & beverage
This position offers an excellent platform for an associate seeking high-quality work, client exposure, and long-term progression within a collaborative global practice.
What You’ll Bring
- 3–5 years’ Post Qualification Experience (PQE)
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements within the hotels and hospitality sector
- Knowledge of key hospitality structures including franchising, management, licensing and supply arrangements
- Proven ability advising on core commercial contracts (service agreements, amendments, licences, novations, etc.)
