An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Competition Solicitor (6–8 PQE) to join a market-leading international Competition, Regulation and Trade practice in London. This highly regarded team advises leading financial institutions, major listed companies, global corporates, regulatory bodies and national governments on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious competition, regulatory and trade matters. The practice is particularly recognised for its strength in high-value competition litigation and complex multi-jurisdictional disputes.
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on contentious competition matters, including:
- Competition litigation, private enforcement and appeals
- Follow-on, hybrid and standalone damages claims
- Collective actions before the Competition Appeal Tribunal
- High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal proceedings
- Multi-jurisdictional competition disputes
- Cartel and behavioural investigations
- Merger control and antitrust advisory work
- Regulatory, state aid, public procurement, WTO and international trade matters
Candidate Requirements:
- 6–8 years’ PQE gained within a leading competition, litigation or regulatory practice
- Strong experience in contentious competition matters, private enforcement and competition disputes
- Experience with High Court and/or Competition Appeal Tribunal proceedings highly desirable
- Excellent technical, drafting and analytical skills
- Ability to manage complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional matters
- Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
