Overview

Our client, a leading international law firm, is looking to strengthen its Transactional Banking group with the addition of Associates in London. The team has a strong reputation for advising global banks, sponsors, corporates, asset managers and governmental entities on complex, cross-border financings and high-profile transactions.

This is an opportunity to join a practice that combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness, working on headline matters spanning public and private deals, leveraged transactions, structured finance and corporate treasury mandates.

The Role

Associates will work across the full range of banking and finance transactions, with exposure to matters such as:

  • Acquisition and leveraged financings.
  • Event-driven and investment-grade loans.
  • Asset-backed and receivables financings.
  • Trade and export financings.
  • General corporate lending and treasury-related matters.
  • Financing for emerging asset classes, including data centres and other specialist sectors.

The role offers a breadth of work across multiple industries and jurisdictions, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues across the firm’s UK and global network.

Requirements

  • England & Wales qualified
  • 2-8 PQE in transactional banking and finance, ideally gained at a top-tier international or leading regional practice.
  • Strong grounding in leveraged or acquisition finance is highly desirable; exposure to specialist financings (such as data centre finance) is advantageous.
  • Excellent academics, with strong drafting and negotiation skills.
