Job Description
Senior Associate – Asset Finance
A leading US law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join their growing Asset Finance practice in London.
You will play a key role in supporting a practice that has a strong reputation for advising on Infrastructure and Energy, as well as broader asset-based lending matters.
The role offers exposure to cross-border mandates and the opportunity to work closely with a respected partner recognised as a market leader in this space.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of asset finance transactions, including infrastructure, energy, railand other structured finance deals.
- Drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation, operating and finance leases, and related commercial agreements.
- Acting for banks, lessors, airlines, shipping companies, and other key stakeholders in the market.
- Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supervising and mentoring junior associates within the team.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or another common law jurisdiction).
- Have 4+ years’ post-qualification experience within a leading City, international, or top-tier regional firm.
- Bring solid experience in asset finance (infra, energy, aviation, shipping, or rail), or wider finance transactions with an interest in specialising in this field.
- Demonstrate strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
