A prominent US law firm is seeking a highly motivated Capital Markets Associate with 1-3 years' PQE to join their thriving London-based team. Position Overview
As a Capital Markets Associate, you will play a key role in the firm's expanding Capital Markets practice, working closely with partners and colleagues on a diverse range of equity and debt transactions. You will advise private equity sponsors, corporates, and financial institutions on complex, cross-border matters, contributing to the team's success and the firm's reputation as a leader in the U.S./UK capital markets space.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues on a wide range of equity and debt capital markets transactions
- Provide legal advice and support on cross-border transactions for private equity sponsors, corporates, and financial institutions
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents with a focus on accuracy and detail
- Assist in the preparation of offering documents, including prospectuses and other regulatory filings
- Conduct legal research and provide insights on U.S./UK capital markets regulations
- Participate in client meetings and negotiations to advise on legal matters
Requirements
- While a JD from a U.S. law school is preferred, UK/EU-qualified candidates who have experience in U.S. capital markets will also be considered
- 1-3 years' post-qualification experience in capital markets transactions
- Strong drafting skills, commercial awareness, and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
