This highly technical team operates at the intersection of financial markets, regulation, and complex risk‐transfer products, advising major global financial institutions, trading desks, and structured finance platforms on sophisticated cross‐border transactions.
The role is heavily documentation and transaction‐focused, with exposure to a broad range of derivatives and structured products work. Key areas of work include:
- OTC derivatives transactions
- Collateral and margin arrangements
- Close‐out netting enforceability
- Regulatory capital treatment and cross‐border derivatives regulation
- Interest rate swaps, FX derivatives, commodity hedging, total return swaps, and credit derivatives
- Structured notes and Shari'a‐compliant hedging structures
- Embedding derivatives into structured note programmes
- Hedging arrangements linked to SPVs and issuances
- Coordination with trustees, arrangers, and listing agents
- Advising on securities, collateral and insolvency frameworks
Candidate requirements:
- NQ–8 years' PQE gained at a leading UK or international law firm
