About the job
Our client, a leading global alternative investment manager with c.$100bn AUM, is seeking a senior Employment Lawyer to act as Lead Employment Counsel during a pivotal period of transformation, including its spin-off from a parent company. The firm is rapidly expanding across Europe, making this a highly visible and strategic hire. The role will lead employment legal strategy across EMEA and APAC, partnering closely with executive leadership and HR as the business establishes its standalone operating model. The organisation offers excellent flexibility, including openness to part-time arrangements and a hybrid working model (2–3 days in the office).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead trusted advisor to senior management on employment matters across EMEA & APAC
- Support the spin-off and broader growth strategy (transfers, restructurings, governance)
- Draft and negotiate senior executive and cross-border employment arrangements
- Manage investigations, disputes, and employment litigation
- Oversee external counsel and mitigate employment risk across jurisdictions
Requirements
- 6-10+ PQE, England & Wales qualified
- Private practice or in-house financial services experience preferred
- Experience supporting transactions or restructurings advantageous
- Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills
